Quotes From My Past Self

This is probably just me, but when something inspirational (that I think I might find useful later on) I write it in my notes. Some are sad, some are happy, but most are exactly what I need to hear when I find them.

I’m learning that the answers I am looking for, I already know. God has already whispered them to me. I just need to pay close attention. Life isn’t as complicated as we make it out to be. We learn lessons from everything.

In my experience, God will give me the answers to problems I do not currently have. Little tid bits of goodness I can put on the back burner until further needed. I didn’t see it at first, but more and more I’m finding my past self very informative and helpful. I want to share some of that with you today. Maybe it will be relevant, maybe it won’t. Here’s the takeaway either or: The answers you are looking for are all around you and if you take the time to slow down and listen, you will find what you are seeking.

Below are past quotes from me to me:

“Strength is often perceived as having everything put together, nothing misplaced, but in actuality true strength is having nothing put together and everything misplaced yet still choosing to continue. The broken are often the strongest above us.”

“Often we put up our own roadblocks. Whether out of fear or comfort, we hold ourselves back. If you tore down all of your excuses, what would be left? That’s the life you should be living.”

“Don’t travel to find yourself, that’s not possible. You find yourself every day in how you chose to tackle your problems and what you love to do in your spare time.”

“If you don’t have any lines guiding you, you don’t have any barriers containing you. You are free to go whichever direction you choose.”

“Never stop running.”

When I look back on these and more, I feel happy. I’m proud of myself for not giving up and giving in. Life is only getting sweeter. I don’t have all the answers, but I’m making progress. God is with me. I am with me. It’s all going to be alright.
